A Year of Craft Beer, Vol. 62, Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome Ale

Hi everyone!  Bet you thought that I wasn't going to make tonight's addition to the blog, and it was tough!

This beer is considered a winter warmer and malty with or without winter spices.  This one does not have them

The beer pours a reddish amber color with a nice one finger head that lasts throughout the drink and leaves a nice lacing pattern.

The aroma is of deep caramel malt sweetness.  Pretty straight forward.  Almost no hop flavor or bitterness at all!

The flavour is quite the same.  Very nicely done.  Malty sweet but not overly so.

Medium to full mouthfeel with this fine beer and medium carbonation and only a very little of a dry finish.

Overall, of course, I love this beer and will give it a 4 out of 5!

Give it a try because you know what life is and you shouldn't drink that other crap!
